FAQsThanks for your interest in Java Reformers. Below are some questions we imagine you might have. If you have other inquiries not answered here or on this site, please email us and we'll get right back to you (make sure to let us know how you'd like to be contacted). Can Anyone Come? While the group began informally for men and will likely still be the flavor of Java Reformers, no one will be turned away. What if I don't know much about theology or the Bible?Great! We're all coming from different stages in our Christian walk, and we hope to encourage you to go deeper as others have encouraged us. While you may not know every term used, just ask. We do when we don't know what something means. And trust that you will go away having learned something meaningful that perks your mind and heart for further study on your own. As "iron sharpens iron", we hope to sharpen each other. There's no better way to grow than in a group that will challenge you. What if I'm not Reformed?Great! We'd love to introduce you to joy of the Reformed faith. Not all who attend are technically reformed, but they enjoy participating in the group's devotion to Scripture study and meaningful fellowship. What if I'm not a Christian?Join us! We hope that our studying in a public location will encourage those who don't know Christ to sit in and hear about Him. You are free to ask questions, especially hard ones. And you're also free to simply sit and listen and see what we're all about. If you are considering visiting, perhaps the Holy Spirit is calling you to Himself. And we'll be glad to introduce you to a Bible-believing church where you can hear the good news of the Gospel proclaimed from the pulpit. Can I bring a friend?Absolutely. |
